Nairn County can confirm the addition of Mark Greig to the under-20s coaching team.
He will join Stuart Finnie and Brian Taylor taking the team for the new season once pre-season training commences.
Finnie said: “I am delighted to be able to bring Mark on board with us at the under-20s. We have been looking to add one more coach to the backroom team since I took over almost two years ago and I feel we have the right man for the job.
“He coached the under-17s team last season and did a great job. We have worked together over the last few months of the season and had a couple of training sessions with the U17s and U20s mixed in with each other and I felt we worked well with one another.
“Mark felt that he could no longer manage the weekend commitments with the under-17s and as soon as I found that out, I felt he would be a perfect fit to work with us at under-20s level and that it would suit him better with it being Monday nights for games and Tuesday and Thursday evenings for training.
“There are a lot of players from last season’s under-17s squad moving up to the under-20s in the summer, so Mark’s input will be valuable as we assess them and the rest of the squad over the next few months before the North of Scotland League kicks off in August.”
Greig joined the club last summer from Ross County to become Head Coach of the under-17s. He now links up with the under-20s, who return to pre-season training in a fortnight and have their first friendly match away at Forres Thistle on July 12th. They then play Citadel at Culloden on July 20th, away to Culbokie on July 25th, Inverness Athletic at Bught Park on August 2nd before rounding off their build-up away to Tain St Duthus at Jubilee Park, Dingwall on August 6th.
